What is suspicious activity?
Suspicious activity is any observed behavior that could indicate a crime is being committed, or someone is planning to commit a crime.
- Unusual activity that seems out of place, a person in an area they don’t belong, a vehicle in an odd location, unattended backpacks or packages, open doors/windows that are normally locked, etc.
- Eliciting information: Someone asking unusual questions beyond mere curiosity about particular aspects of a building or facility, security, or operations.
- Observation / surveillance: unusual attention to, people, facilities or buildings beyond a casual or professional interest.
